BLUES DELUXE: They cover a wide range of well known (and lesser known) Blues tunes, old and new - from the classic artists such as BB King and Freddie King, guitar legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix, to modern styles such as Gary Moore and Joe Bonamasa - and on all of these they put their own stamp. The result is a full bodied, rocking, dynamic sound which never fails to impress.... They also write their own compositions, leaning on their collective influences (from all types of music) to develop a unique blend of Blues.

DOC BROWN & THE GROOVECATS: Doctor Brown and the Groovecats are a “must see” band playing 50s style west coast swing, jump jive, Chigago blues and a bit of rock n roll. Over the years they have played a major part in all of the main festivals... Colne, Burnley, Dundee, Montrose, Arbroath, Edinburgh, Maryport, also at Monaghan, Dublin, and Castlebarr in Ireland plus festivals in Holland which involved a month long tour playing at 5 festivals over that period. As well as doing the festivals they have opened shows for some of the biggest names in the blues world the likes of....... Albert Collins, Albert King, Sherman Robertson, Big Joe Turner, Joe Louis Walker and many many more.........the band was formed many years ago by Doc Brown who at a gig can be seen doing vocals and playing harmonica, guitar and saxophone at different times during the gig. This gives the band much more variation within the music that they love to play. The band are as tight a band as you’ll ever come across and always dress for the part (you wont see this band in scruffy jeans and T‑shirts) - the band and the music is nothing short of slick. The main aim of the band is to have a good time and entertain everyone who comes to see them. Doc Brown can accommodate for every occasion so you may catch them as a solo, duo, trio or the full band and can be seen at many different events festivals, weddings, corporate, private functions or live music venues, the one thing you can see about this band is that they love the music that they have chosen to play covering tracks by people like Jimmie Vaughan Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Ronnie Earl and James Harman. They have not gone down the rock/blues road that so many others have gone down.
GEORGIA CRAWL: Georgia Crawl are a well established Tayside band that have drawn many appreciative audiences to hear and dance to their blend of Chicago blues, early rock ‘n’ roll plus their own numbers, creating a montage of Blues with Rhythm. They are four piece band featuring the classic line up of a harmonica that will transport you straight to the smoke filled clubs of Chicago, reverb drenched Telecaster driven rhythm guitar, ’clean’ semi acoustic lead guitar and an upbeat rhythm section of bass and drums. They have gone down a storm from Whistlebinkies in Edinburgh, through to The Noose and Monkey in Aberdeen as well as the Brechin Arts Festival, the Callandar Jazz and Blues Festival, Yellow’s on the Broom Festival, as well as a running Guitar and Harmonica Workshops and performing an acoustic set on Mearns FM Community Radio. What you get is a two hour plus set of lively music that will have you up on the dance floor as the infectious rhythms will entice you up from your seat or in from the street. The band give energy of youth with their foundations set in a bedrock of experience and maturity which allows Georgia Crawl their own take on songs from artists as diverse as Blind Willie McTell, Muddy Waters and Ray Charles. A good time will be had by all as the uplifting experience provided by Georgia Crawl will allow you to transcend your blues. GHOSTS OF PROGRESS: A one man band plus one!! Recently rejoined by Lazy Poker bassist Grant McConnachie, this 3 piece is powered along by Jamie's talented son Dale Harper on drums. Jamie's own songs are influenced by years of soaking up Blues, Soul, Rock'n'nRoll, Country, Americana, Rockabilly and Rock. JUKE JOINT ROLLERS: The Juke Joint Rollers play good-time, dirty low-down-in-the-alley blues all the way from Aberdeen, Scotland...They major on Funky Grooves, R&B, Swing and Boogie. They blend styles, tempos and dynamic levels, tapping sources like Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and many more. Blues-Rock guitar-slingers they are not..! KWAK: played at the festival as Spank The Plank last year to rousing acclaim and are now a three piece playing dirty blues and rock in the style of ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Bryan Kerr’s Explorer gets a good spanking with Don Lindsay providing the strong, melodic and solid bass lines. Top Gear have “The Stig”, U2 have “The Edge” but KWAK have “The Depth” in the form of Iain Douglas, some say the driving force behind Lights Out By Nine for many years and now back in a more natural rock style providing instinctive bio rhythms for this highly entertaining band. LYNDON ANDERSON BAND: When it comes to the blues, The Lyndon Anderson Band have all the bases covered, whether it's a 1950's Chess classic, a chunk of 70's funk, a rocking Texas shuffle, jazz influenced west coast swing or one of their many originals, they play it all with style, authority and taste. From Lightning Hopkins to the Meters and beyond, they mix up a red hot gumbo of groove with tunes from the likes of Muddy Waters, James Brown, Little Walter, Junior Parker and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. MIDNIGHT BLUES BAND: Formed in 2001, the band consists of Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Drums. Strongly influenced by the music of Gary Moore and Pink Floyd.
